With Valentine’s Day approaching, I think it is important to prepare clean treats and meals to help dodge the influx of chocolate.

This year I am making clean chocolate. This is something you can use to coat strawberries or other fruits, or just eat plain in cute little moulds. The recipe is what I would call a foundation recipe. It is something you can get creative with!

Addictive Clean Chocolate Recipe

200g raw cashews, almonds, or shredded coconut (or any other nut or fruit!)
150g coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
4 tablespoons cacao powder
3 tablespoons honey or agave
1 pinch Himalayan salt
1. Chop nuts (or fruit) and combine with all other ingredients. If it is cold, you make need to warm the coconut oil slightly in the microwave to become liquid.
2. Place mixture on tray or in moulds. My hot tip: use silicon moulds if you want to get them out easily afterwards.
3. Refrigerate!
4. Can be stored in fridge or freezer… Mine never quite make it to the freezer.
